Kepler Vs Azomco 3pm
Inspired Generation Vs REG 5:30 pm
Patriots Vs UGB 8pm
Patriots will be determined to avoid any slip-ups as the second round of the Rwanda Basketball League gets underway, with a key clash against United Generation (UGB) set for Sunday at BK Arena.
The former champions currently sit top of the standings with 17 points, holding a two-point lead over Rwanda Energy Group (REG) who moved into second place after an 86–67 win over East African University Rwanda (EAUR) on Friday.
RSSB Tigers occupy fifth position with 13 points following a dominant 95–52 victory over Inspired Generation. They return to domestic action on a high, having recently topped the Kalahari Conference during the Basketball Africa League (BAL) group phase in Pretoria.
Ahead of the showdown, Patriots head coach Sunny Niyomugabo acknowledged the challenge awaiting his side, stressing the need for focus and discipline.
"We are facing one of the best teams in the league. I have spoken with my players, and they understand why this game against UGB is crucial. We can’t afford to be complacent,” he told Times Sport.
In a separate interview, UGB head coach Yves Murenzi expressed respect for Patriots but insisted his team would not be intimidated, noting that "anything is possible.”
The game will follow an earlier fixture between Kepler and AZOMCO at 3pm at the same venue, while REG are set to face Inspired Generation.
