Mohamed Tchite a.k.a Meme

Mohamed Tchite a.k.a Meme was born on 31st January 1984 in Bujumbura where he started his football career as a teenager in high school.

When in Rwanda, he pursued his career in Mukura victory sport. While at Mukura, he played one season and returned back to Burundi for Vitalo football club.

From Vitalo he went to DR Congo in search for a Congolese passport. After he succeeded in getting the passport, the player connected to Belgian FC Brussels soccer academy with Saidi Abed.

From here, he was sported by the Belgian managers and his first move to the top league, was in standard de liege but things never went well for Saidi Abed who remained at the club.

After one year he became the jupiler league top scorer.
After that season, he joined yet another strong, jupiler league giant Anderlect.

While at Anderlect football club he was honored as the Belgian football player of the year, by the Belgian football federation.

The player has won many trophies like two Belgian league championship trophies.

The football star is currently playing for Racing Santander and has now reached at "the lime light” of his career.

This is so because big clubs in the premiership have started getting in touch with the player. It’s not really predictable, where the wind may blow the player next season, but don’t get surprised watching him in the English premiership.

Fortunately, his father is based in the country and people wonder why he never gave him advice to play for the Rwandan national team.

Clubs like Blackburn and Everton are now in a financial competition to sign the player.

The 25 year player would be the first Rwandese to feature in premiership with big clubs like Everton and Blackburn.
In most cases, when we talk about Mohamed Tchite a.k.a Meme, every one understands the Spanish la liga successful club racing Satander.

And when we talk about Aloys Kanamugire every one is aware of the popular coach, who has contributed to the rise of Rwandan football and currently the Ferwafa academy coach.

Kanamugire is said by some fans to be the cause of Tchite’s refusal to play for the national side. However, Aloys Kanamugire denies allegations

"I never left the player at the Airport as many people say, because he was not selected in the last 18 players who were to leave for the U-18 national team which was to feature in the tourney which was due to take place in Mozambique during those days” said Aloys Kanamugire.

He also added that he was not the one who selected the national team because it was the federation’s duty and for that, he had no powers to eliminate the player.

During the last World Cup and African qualifier matches, Ferwafa kept in touch with the player but he chose to play for the Belgian national team.

Having been linked to three nationalities; Belgium, DR Congo and Rwanda, he was at the centre of attraction to play for these countries last year, but finally the Belgians won the bid to have him play for their side.

The player is ready to play for the Belgian national team in the coming world cup qualifying matches. And so far, he has decided to concentrate on his club Racing Satander.
