SC Kiyovu have lodged a complaint with FIFA, accusing former head coach Francis Haringingo of breaching his contract after joining rivals Rayon Sports FC before the expiry of his deal.
Haringingo’s return to the Blues earlier this week has not been welcomed by his former employers, who insist he failed to honour the terms agreed upon when he signed for the Mumena-based club ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Kiyovu spokesperson Hemed Minani said that the Burundian tactician has a contract running until the end of the current campaign.

According to Minani, the coach informed the club of his intention to leave, but was asked to give a 15-day notice period to allow time to secure a replacement—something he declined.
"A case was filed with FIFA because he didn’t honour the contract. He left with two months remaining. There was a clause requiring any interested club to approach us, but that didn’t happen,” Minani said.
Haringingo led his first training session with Rayon Sports on Tuesday, March 31. However, he could miss Saturday’s league clash against Gicumbi FC at Kigali Pele Stadium if Kiyovu’s complaint is upheld.
