Silverbacks vs Grizzlies

THE national rugby team-Silverbacks will play a series of friendlies before they leave for the Hong Kong 10 aside tournament that takes place on the 24th and 25th of this month.

The two-day tournament will attract teams from New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Fuji, Samoa, Kenya, Tonga, Zimbabwe and the host nation, and Silverbacks caretaker coach Gerald Nsenga is eager for his team to impress in the Hong-Kong 7s curtain raiser.

"It is the first time the team is preparing for us a big international tournament so we can not afford to go wrong. We need ample build-up games which is why we are looking at playing against some regional teams,” Nsenga said.

Meanwhile, the national rugby league has been programmed for late April, according to the federation’s Secretary General Janvier Ugeziwe.
