Gasigwa will now play Derrick Onyancha who recovered from a set down to oust Burundi’s Amadi Kagoma 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 in the first round.

TENNIS ace Jean Claude Gasigwa cruised to the second round of the KCB Kenya Open championship after trouncing homeboy Haruna Mburu in straight sets (6-3 6-3).
Gasigwa will now play Derrick Onyancha who recovered from a set down to oust Burundi’s Amadi Kagoma 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 in the first round.
Else where, defending champion Allan Cooper outclassed compatriot Richard Ndesandjo in straight sets 6-0, 6-0, while Uganda’s Duncan Mugabe, who is fresh from winning the Uganda Open, tossed out Zimbabwean Hillary Nyakabao 6-3, 6-0. Mugabe will have another easy ride second round date against compatriot Francis Adede, who beat Tanzanian Jacob Lemris 6-0, 6-0 in the first round.
Yash Rawal defeated Shinichi Maruo 6-2, 6-4 to set up a second round clash against Tanzanian Jacob Jonas. Jonas had sidelined Vincent Kihanya 6-1, 6-2 in the first round.
