As the music industry is taking a long stride to catch up with the rest of the region’s industry, the film industry is not lagging back.

On March 5, Rwanda music industry will officially launch its first ever musical film "Star in Love”.

The movie, by a local film producer and director, Jean Claude Uwiringiyimana, famous for the movie "One Night at Nyange”, will be launched at the National University of Rwanda (NUR) and at Top Tower Hotel, on March 5 and 6 respectively.

In his remarks, Jean Claude Uwiringiyimana said that; "It took us time to find the right actors, but I think whoever comes to the launch will notice that Rwandans can do well in the film industry.”

The 90 minute film stars famous local artistes, including Rosy, and the Dream Boyz.

Entrance to the NUR’s auditorium is Rfw1000, and Rfw5000 at Top Tower Hotel, drinks inclusive.
