Musanze FC 0-1 Mukura VS

Striker Djibril Ouattara scored twice in the second half to help APR FC fight back from two goals down and salvage a 2–2 draw against Marines FC on Saturday at Umuganda Stadium.

APR travelled to Rubavu targeting victory to claim the top spot in the Rwanda Premier League standings, but Marines had other plans.

Forward Virgile Ndombe opened the scoring for the hosts in the fifth minute before in-form striker Taiba Mbonyumwami doubled the lead in the 41st minute to give Marines a comfortable 2–0 advantage at halftime.

APR returned from the break with renewed intensity after what appeared to be a strong dressing-room talk, and it was Ouattara who led the comeback.

The Burkinabe striker pulled one back just a minute after the restart before completing his brace 11 minutes later to level the match at 2–2.

The result leaves APR in second place on the league table with 43 points, two behind leaders Al Hilal SC. Meanwhile, Marines remain ninth with 29 points.
