People over the age of 18 are the responsibility of the Minister of Youth

Editor, I would like to make a slight correction on the article that appeared in the paper of 10th February, ‘300 ex-street children given vocational training”. The 300 people that were taken from Gikondo Transit center are not children, because all of them are above 18 years old (they are between 18 and 35 years).

Editor,

I would like to make a slight correction on the article that appeared in the paper of 10th February, ‘300 ex-street children given vocational training”. The 300 people that were taken from Gikondo Transit center are not children, because all of them are above 18 years old (they are between 18 and 35 years).

This portion of the population represents youth, which is the reason the Ministry of Youth intervened. Children who are caught on the streets are taken by MIGEPROF to schools and children rehabilitation centers.
