FRVB approves play-offs system

THE national volleyball federation (FRVB) has introduced a play-offs system for this year’s league. According to the federation’s technical advisor Christian Hatumimana, separate play-offs will be played after the first and second round. “After the first round, the top four teams will face-off as the rest also play each other. The same system will be used after the second round. Points from the first and second round together with those from the play-offs will then be tallied to determine the league champion,” the official confirmed.

THE national volleyball federation (FRVB) has introduced a play-offs system for this year’s league. According to the federation’s technical advisor Christian Hatumimana, separate play-offs will be played after the first and second round.

This year, the men’s league will feature 10 clubs while the ladies fray will have eight teams.

The men’s category has reigning champions APR, National University of Rwanda (UNR), Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC), Gisenyi College, CXR, PSB, GSOB, Unatek, KIE and St. Joseph Kabgayi while Ruhango, ESI, UNR, Rwaza, St. Aloys, Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA), St. Joseph and APR make up the ladies’ fray.
