Together, officials and area residents worked on anti-erosion embankments in a nine-hectare forest, strengthening efforts to protect the environment and prevent soil degradation.
During the exercise, a one-kilometer drainage channel was constructed.
Area residents were encouraged to regularly clear and maintain drainage systems around their homes to prevent blockages and reduce the risk of flooding and soil erosion.
In a similar exercise last month, the Prime Minister and residents of Gahini Sector, Kayonza District, rehabilitated a 19-kilometer rural road, thereby improving access to local markets.
