The Rwanda National Volleyball League (RNVL) men is entering a decisive phase as top teams will be tussling it out for the last three places in the playoffs.

So far, it is only Gisagara VC that has qualified for the playoffs. The remaining three slots are up for grabs, with four teams fighting for them.

On Friday evening, Kepler VC will come up against Police VC, while on Saturday, APR VC will play against REG VC, in matchups that will determine who heads to the playoffs.

Here is what to know about the games:

Kepler VC vs Police VC - Friday 8pm

Kepler sit third with 33 points, level with APR and only one point behind leaders Gisagara.

Police, on the other hand, are currently fifth with 29 points and a game in hand. A win for Police would potentially push them into the top four and shake up the standings dramatically.

For Kepler, this is about stability and ambition. A victory keeps them firmly in the top three and strengthens their bid for a top two finish, which could mean a more favourable playoff path.

APR VC vs REG VC – Saturday 8pm

Saturday delivers a classic rivalry, APR vs REG. APR, second on 33 points, are nearly assured of a playoff spot. But they are not playing for qualification alone, they are chasing first place and home advantage.

REG, fourth with 30 points, are walking a tightrope. One slip could allow Police to get ahead them. This match is less about prestige and more about protection.

If APR win, they strengthen their title credentials and possibly close in on Gisagara.

If REG win, they stabilise their playoff position and send a statement that they remain serious contenders.
