Marina and Yvan Muziki have been dating since 2023.
Valentine’s Day proved the perfect moment for a marriage proposal as musician Marina said "Yes” to fellow artiste Yvan Muziki when he proposed to her during his homecoming concert
The surprise on-stage proposal became the highlight of the February 13 show at Kigali Universe, where Yvan officially launched his debut album Inganzo Ntahangarwa.

In the middle of his performance, Yvan paused to address long-standing rumours about his relationship with Marina, whom he has been dating since 2023. What many had speculated about was confirmed when he openly declared his love for her.
He thanked Marina for accepting and supporting him throughout their journey together, saying he was grateful to have found a partner who shares both his life and his passion for music.
The crowd erupted in cheers as Marina, visibly surprised, accepted the proposal.
"We spent the whole day together and I kept wondering when he planned all this. I am very surprised, excited and nervous. I can’t believe this just happened,” she told The New Times.
Following the emotional moment, the newly engaged couple returned to the stage to perform some of their collaborations, including Urugo Ruhire remix featuring Massamba Intore. Marina later revealed that, during rehearsals, she had practiced the song without knowing she would end up performing it in celebration of her own engagement.
The proposal came shortly after Yvan announced that he had permanently returned to Rwanda from Belgium to focus on his music career at home.
