Tunisia and Egypt have booked their places in the final of the 2026 Men’s Handball Africa Cup of Nations, with the title clash scheduled for Saturday, January 31, at BK Arena in Kigali.

Defending champions Egypt will face Tunisia, who finished third at the previous edition. This year’s final is historic, marking the first time the Africa Cup of Nations final is being staged in East Africa.
The tournament also serves as a qualification pathway to the 2027 IHF Men’s World Championship.
Egypt secured their place in the final with a 32-26 victory over Cape Verde in Thursday’s semi-final. Tunisia followed suit after defeating Algeria 19-11 in the other semi-final.
The losing semi-finalists, Algeria and Cape Verde, will contest the third-place playoff on Friday.
Classification matches
In the 5th-8th place playoffs, Nigeria edged Guinea 30-28 to advance to the final classification match, where they will face Angola, who defeated Morocco 27-20. The winners will finish fifth, while the losers will settle for sixth place.
