The 2026 edition marks a return to Rwanda’s capital, which successfully hosted the second SportsBiz Africa Forum in September last year.
The invitation-only event in Rabat brought together senior policymakers, sports governing bodies, investors, and industry leaders to unveil the agenda and strategic direction for the 2026 Forum.
Representatives from key continental and global institutions, including the African Union Sports Council and world football’s governing body, FIFA, attended the Rabat activation, underscoring the SBA Forum’s growing status as a leading platform for sports-driven economic dialogue in Africa.

Organisers said the Forum continues to position sport as a catalyst for sustainable socio-economic development, in line with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 vision of "The Africa We Want.”
Building on the momentum of the 2025 edition, the 2026 Kigali Forum will deepen its integrated ecosystem approach by connecting policy reform, investment facilitation, skills development, and sports tourism into a unified continental marketplace for ideas and capital.
Organisers also unveiled key elements of the SportsBiz Africa Forum 2026 agenda, including expanded continental policy dialogues, enhanced investment deal-making platforms, international sports competitions, and targeted youth and professional development programmes.
The 2026 edition is expected to be the most ambitious yet, reflecting Africa’s growing influence and relevance in the global sports economy.
