                  A friend is like a parcel,                 You expect it because you need it.                 A friend is like a gift                An effort to make you smile                              A friend feels with you,               And their hand reaches out first,              To wipe your tears and say;             “We’re in this together”             A friend knows when to laugh,            Even along with the crowd,            But also when to stop;           A friend wants to know you enough,           Not to make you cry;           When they make you sad or even frown,          They will not smile.         Friends aren’t afraid to share          Embarrassment and shame,         Because they know they share         In both happiness and pain.

                  A friend is like a parcel,
                 You expect it because you need it.
                 A friend is like a gift
                An effort to make you smile

               A friend feels with you,
               And their hand reaches out first,
              To wipe your tears and say;
             "We’re in this together”
             A friend knows when to laugh,
            Even along with the crowd,
            But also when to stop;
           A friend wants to know you enough,
           Not to make you cry;
           When they make you sad or even frown,
          They will not smile.
         Friends aren’t afraid to share
          Embarrassment and shame,
         Because they know they share
         In both happiness and pain.
         Friends don’t gang-up on each other
         For they do not forget they’re are a team
         A friend does his best,
        To prove his trustworthiness,
        And hopes you do the same.
       Friends are, to each other,
       Spiritual lawyers of some kind;
      Carrying the zeal,
      To defend one another,
      When winning isn’t guaranteed

      Friends push each other forward,
     Until they can finally say
     "We’ve made it… together!”
