APR FC 2-1 Bugesera FC

Djibril Ouattara scored an 85th-minute winner as APR FC edged Bugesera FC 2-1 in a hard-fought Rwanda Premier League match at Kigali Pelé Stadium on Saturday, January 3.

The victory moved the military side to 29 points, three behind leaders Police FC.

Bugesera caused early problems and created several chances, while APR struggled to make the most of their opportunities.

William Tagoe gave the defending champions the lead in the 42nd minute, but Saddick Sulley levelled for Bugesera in the 78th minute.

APR pressed for a response and Ouattara struck late to secure all three points.

In other matches on Saturday, Police FC beat Gorilla FC 4-0 at Kigali Pelé Stadium, while AS Kigali beat Etincelles 1-0 in Rubavu, with Didier Ndayishimiye scoring in the 68th minute.

Action continues on Sunday as Rayon Sports host AS Muhanga at Kigali Pelé Stadium and Mukura VS face Rutsiro at Kamena Stadium.
