Mbuyu will be flown to India this morning.

APR’S influential defender Mbuyu Twite will be flown to India later this week for an operation after fracturing his ankle in last week’s 2-1 win over Etincelles.

The club’s Secretary General Adolph Kalisa yesterday said, "Mbuyu will be flown to India for special treatment on his ankle so as to ensure a quick recovery.”

"We are only waiting for travel documents to be issued by the Indian embassy in Uganda. He will head straight to India as soon as the documents are acquired,” Kalisa added.

The army-side defender will miss a host of league games, MTN Peace Cup and the preliminary round of the 2010 Africa Champions League.

Since 2007 when he joined the club, Mbuyu has won four trophies at APR.

Etincelles’ midfielder Kevin Beningabo nearly ended Mbuyu’s career after a reckless tackle on the defender.
