LA Jeunesse are intent on returning back to the top flight after opening up a four point lead in Group B following Sunday’s 3-2 victory over Interforce.

A brace from striker Claude Uwiringiyimana and another strike from Patrick Manirakiza gave the Nyamirambo-based side a three-goal half time lead.

In the second half, Interforce pulled two goals back through midfielder Jean Pierre Hategekimana but La Jeunesse held on to secure all three points.

La Jeunesse now have 12 points, while Interforce and Muhanga follow in second and third place with 8 and 7 points respectively.

Meanwhile in Group A, Nyanza and Kibuye got default points against Zebres and Etoile de l’Est respectively.
Both clubs haven’t yet stated the reasons for not honouring their fixtures.

Nyanza, on 13 points, still hold a slim one point cushion over heavy weights Kibuye.
Pepiniere are third with 10 points.
