Fan favourite DJ Ira has become the new addition to the lineup confirmed to entertain Kigalians at the forthcoming Oldies Music Festival scheduled for December 6 at Kigali Universe.

has unveiled its lineup, featuring some of Rwanda's most experienced disc jockeys expected to spice up the show.

Ira, born Grace Iradukunda joined a list of DJs who have cemented a name delivering the best of old school music playlists across Kigali’s renowned entertainment spot.

Known for her work across Kigali's nightlife circuit, she joins the likes of DJ Karim and DJ RY, adding diversity to the evening's musical selections.

DJ RY, who has been a regular headliner at previous editions of the festival, returns to the events calendar to spin classic tracks from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

"This edition will spotlight female talent, giving them a stronger presence both on stage and behind the decks. This is why we added DJ Ira and Anita Pendo to the lineup so that we cater for all. Any old school music lover shouldn&039;t miss this edition," organisers said.

Meanwhile, Organisers Radio presenter Anita Pendo will serve as the official Mcee and host for the event while Rwanda’s premier modern band, Symphony, will also make its debut on the festival’s stage, providing live instrumentation to complement the DJ sets throughout the night.

According to organisers, the event will feature a club-style setting with enhanced lighting and ambiance to create a more intimate experience for attendees.

The festival, which has become a staple on Rwanda's entertainment calendar since its inception, celebrates golden-era music from Rwanda, East Africa, the United States, and other regions.

The previous edition, held at the same venue in July, drew a crowd of music lovers, style enthusiasts, and top players in Rwanda’s creative industry. Guests competed for "Best Vintage Outfit," a tradition that turns the night into a runway of timeless fashion.

Old Music Festival continues its tradition of bringing together fans of classic music for an evening dedicated to timeless hits that defined multiple generations of music lovers across the continent and beyond.
