SC Kiyovu head coach Francis Christian Haringingo has expressed his delight after his side secured a convincing 3-0 victory over AS Kigali on Sunday, November 2. This was the team’s first win of the 2024/25 Rwanda Premier League season.
"I’m delighted with the performance and happy to see the team’s progress,” he noted during a media interview.

In the match played at Kigali Pele Stadium, Kiyovu dominated possession and created several chances. Their efforts paid off in the 21st minute when Moise Sandja Bulaga opened the scoring with a well-taken goal.
The Mumena-based side maintained their lead until halftime and continued to press forward after the break. AS Kigali struggled to reorganise and cope with Kiyovu’s high intensity and aggression on the ball.
Kiyovu’s tactical discipline paid off once again in the 66th minute when youngster David Niyo doubled the lead, before Rene Uwineza sealed the victory with a third goal in the 70th minute, ensuring all three points for the Green Baggies.
