Gov’t to own more embassy premises

With an aim of cutting costs incurred in the running of diplomatic missions across the world, government plans to own permanent premises for most of her embassies.Plans are underway to acquire premises for Rwanda’s embassies in Kinshasa and Washington. Speaking to The New Times, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo said the plans are in line with government’s policy of reducing on expenditur .

With an aim of cutting costs incurred in the running of diplomatic missions across the world, government plans to own permanent premises for most of her embassies.
Plans are underway to acquire premises for Rwanda’s embassies in Kinshasa and Washington.

Speaking to The New Times, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo said the plans are in line with government’s policy of reducing on expenditur .

"It’s really a desire by government to try and build our own embassy premises and residential houses for our diplomats – it is also a good investment,” said the Minister.

Rwanda High Commissions to Kenya opened up new premises constructed by government.
