RUBAVU HERE I COME: RTUC to reach more beneficiaries

Rwanda Tourism University College (RTUC) will next year open a campus in Gesenyi, Rubavu district in the western province, its Rector Callixte Kabera has said.

According to Kabera, the proposed campus will have the capacity to accommodate students from far away in its boarding section.

He said that the decision to open up in Rubavu was made basing on the need to have hospitality and tourism studies in an area that will also attract students from the surrounding areas.

"Rubavu is one of the areas identified to be developing very fast in the areas of hospitality and tourism. So students in Rubavu and beyond should be given the chance to acquire these skills,” he told Sunday Times.

The proposed school will offer all courses currently offered at the main campus in degree, diploma and certificate programs.

RTUC`s opening in Rubavu will mark the first outlet for learners to access the school’s programs outside Kigali.
