RELATIONSHIPS : When letting go seems to be the best answer

Love is a funny thing I must say; it makes people do things, I mean any thing. That is why I doubt if there is anything that produces extreme feelings and hence extreme actions in people. The most interesting part of this is that the person doing the extreme behaviours does not know that what they are doing is absurd; they think that they are doing the most perfect and sane thing.

When love turns sour, that is when there is the greatest of despair, people tend to do things they never thought they could do themselves, and there is a power that makes them think they can do anything however stupid.

Dorothy [not real names] had been in love with Jeffrey for close to four years but when she discovered Jeffrey was seeing some other girl; she decided to get rid of the baby she was carrying.

This is something that was least expected of Dorothy but she went an extra mile; to her it was like having a child with no father she thought the only thing she could do was to walk away from the relationship.

The problems that come around when a good relationship turns sour cannot be put in words. Sometimes when something is too good and so real and you don’t want to leave it; that is when the worst comes in.

It is hard to leave a good thing but it even gets harder when one does not know how to let go.

When you think that walking away from your troubles will be the best thing to do, you definitely will have nothing to stop you; always follow your heart…many have been told.
Sometimes when you sit down and wonder why you should just walk out and why you should not look back, you decide at once and so you set out.

But only to realize that no one seems to listen, take care or even understand you out there.

At the end of the day when you crawl into your bed humbled by the fact that you are now lonely and cold that is when it sinks in and hits you hard in the face.

You spend the entire night trying to cry it away but the harder you cry, the more you think and the more you think about it, the more the truth stares you in the face until you finally learn to accept it.

The other part of you is telling you at that moment to go back but you are scared, you have a feeling things might get worse and yet you promised yourself never to turn back to that person to repeat the same mistakes.

No matter how hard your beloved one tries to call you back you seem to be too deaf to hear their apologies, you are actually trying to fight the good feeling that is telling you to recollect yourself and look at things in a more liberal way.

You never give-up, throw away that attitude of ‘things are unworkable’ and you back off. Just put your entire faith and work hard upon improving your wrongs always have a positive believe.

That person you cherish so much should not just slip out of your hands because you give up easily do not take away your own happiness no one will give it back to you.

Letting go can only be applicable when you have tried all you can to help the situation, hung on you might get the best out of your efforts.
