President Paul Kagame, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), will commission 1,029 officer cadets in a ceremony held at the Rwanda Military Academy in Gako, Bugesera District, on Friday, October 3.
The cohort includes 42 officers who received training in partner countries, alongside those who completed a one-year military training course at the academy.
It also includes graduates of the four-year Social and Military Sciences degree program, as well as officers who completed a nine-month course.

117 of the officer cadets are women.
Among the attendees at the passing-out ceremony are senior military officers, government officials, other security personnel, as well as families and friends of the cadets.
