One day, I was too hungry but unfortunately there was nothing for me to eat. A friend found me miserable and l laughed.

I was so hurt because at least I expected her to feel for me. He instead posed me a question which said "What would you do if starved for three and on the fourth day locked up in a super market.

This was an amazing question which made me burst into a big laughter despite of the hunger I was feeling. I did not answer him because with the situation I was in, she definitely new which answer I was to give her.

Dear readers of this column especially you my fellow toddler, allow me pose you the same question. What would you do if you were starved for three days and on the fourth day locked up in a Super market?

I will also not need your answer right now but definitely to some this could be the best memorable day in their lives.

According to me, I would not rush to eat as many things as I can, I would pick some thing small to eat, then sit down plan and what to eat and what to leave.

Other wise if I am in a hurry to eat anything my hands landed on, the feast may end up to some thing else. I may loose my life because of over eating.

My intention of writing this message today is not to put you in the moods of eating. I would like to discuss with you about our eating habits as children.

Now that we are in holidays, how do we handle ourselves when mum or the house help has delayed to give us break first, lunch or supper in time due to certain reasons?

Do we cry or walk away from home and go to our neighbors who might have prepared their food in time?

My mother told me, it is not right to move from home seeking for foods else where. As children, we should learn to be patient with people at home especially when they do don’t give us food in time.

Moving into our neighbor’s home begging for food is not good discipline. Some of our neighbors are not good, they may poison us hence loosing our lives said my uncle one time.

Children should learn to be contented with the little they receive from their families. Do not give chance to people who may abuse your health by moving around neighbors begging for food or other things.
