Rwanda Tourism University College (RTUC) has joined the association of Hospitality Schools in Africa (AHSA), an association that brings together 27 African hospitality schools.

The announcement was made during the just concluded meeting of the association in South Africa.

In an interview with The New Times, RTUC Rector, Callixte Kabera, said that the aim of the association is to promote tourism and the hospitality industry on the continent as well as improving hospitality skills in schools.

"When heads of the 27 institutes meet every year, we share experiences and try to address common challenges together,” Kabera said.

He added that African hospitality institutes almost have similar challenges that need collective efforts if they are to be addressed.
