Afrika said this at the inaugural Egypt–Rwanda Business Forum, held on Monday, September 22, in Cairo, as delegations from both countries deliberated ways to strengthen economic ties and attract investment.

Discussions highlighted priority sectors including agro-processing, manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, construction and real estate, health and pharmaceuticals, and mining.
By leveraging each country’s strengths and regional advantages, the forum aimed to facilitate investment inflows, enable knowledge sharing and technology transfer, and create sustainable business linkages that expand market access across Africa and beyond.
Rwanda&039;s relations with Egypt cover various areas, including healthcare.
In 2024, the two governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding to supply medical equipment and devices for the MY Rwanda-Egypt Heart Care Centre, a modern facility in Masaka, Kicukiro District.
The $20 million project, which broke ground in 2021, is set to be completed in this year and will become the first specialized heart care centre of its kind in Central Africa.
