NEW Athletics Star (NAS) coach has urged the athletics federation (RAF) to allow clubs compete independently in next month’s Rendezvous National.

Angelus Mudenge argued that because athletes turn out for different ministries, local athletics clubs get to miss out on winning the big prizes.

"I am training athletes who are going to run for the ministry instead of their club. I think this is a bit unfair,” Mudenge said.

For the last two years, Rendezvous National has been the climax of RAF’s calendar.

Last year, Ministry of education (Mineduc) beat Ministry of Defense (MoD) to the title.
