Kagame Cup and Peace Cup winners Atraco maintained their lead at the top of the national football league standings after a narrow 1-0 win over AS Kigali yesterday at Mumena ground.

Jean Lomami scored the lone goal of the game after just 50 seconds to earn the taxi-men side maximum points.
Rayon Sport earned maximum points without kicking a ball after their opponents Mukura failed to turn up for the game at Nyamirambo stadium.

The Southern Province based club which is yet to win any game this season is rocked in administration and financial crisis which stopped the club from traveling to Kigali for yesterday’s fixture.

Kiyovu returned to wining ways with a 2-0 win over hosts Amagaju in Nyamagabe. Joseph Kabagambe and Eric Serugaba gave Jean Marie Ntagwabira side the much needed win after losing their last two matches against Etincelles and APR.

Police forced a 1-all draw away to Etincelles at Umuganda stadium. It is the first time in four matches that Etincelles have failed to take maximum points.

League action continues today when ten-time champions APR host Electrogaz at Nyamirambo stadium while Musanze host Marines in Ruhengeri.

APR Dutch coach Erik Paske is sweating on the fitness on several of his first team players. By press time, Abbas Rassou, Jean Uwacu, Elias Ntaganda, Mbuyu Twite and Emmanuel Sebanani were doubtful for today’s game.
