Police in Kabarole sector, Gatsibo District are holding six men in connection with the recent murder of a local pastoralist.

Emmanuel Habakurama, Anastase Mugenza, Didas Gatena, Anastase Karemera and two others only identified as Muhwezi and Munyarushoka, all of Rwimbogo, Gatsibo district, were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly murdering 44-year-old Edward Kabariza.

When contacted, police spokesperson Eric Kayiranga confirmed the murder and the subsequent arrests.

The suspects attacked and killed Kabariza Tuesday night at about 1:00am after they found him grazing in their land and plantations.
