THE 2009 Miss Rwanda beauty pageant will not only introduce us to the country’s beauties, and entertaining events—but will leave us shocked for life with the way some of the contestants answer the questions.

Drama befell residents of Nyamagabe during one of the beauty shows. One of beauty contestants, Rachel Mukankundiye was asked the name of the Minister of Sports and Culture.

And she confidently answered that: "Is called the Ministry of Culture and Sports”, instead of Joseph Habineza.

Another contestant, Edith Byumvuhore, was asked that: What shows that Rwanda has developed after the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsi?

And her response was, "Because all Rwandans can afford to wear shoes”

Let us hope the 16 selected finalists are smart enough, and won’t entertain us to a similar drama at the Miss Rwanda 2009 grand final scheduled for December 18 at Kigali Serena Hotel.
