"I always wanted to be a model but never got chance to explore my desires,” Dusabe said.
"When recruiting for East African models came in 2007 in Dar-salam, i went and participated to purposely satisfy my dreams,” She added.
To her surprise out of the 22 girls that had taken part in the competition, she was chosen among the best three from Rwanda.
After every step, she gained more support from the public; and got more votes to keep her in the competition to the very end.
"I did come number one, and when I returned home I became famous,” Dusabe says.
"Young girls started looking at me as their idol they all wanted to take up my example and explore their talents,” adds Dusabe.
Fame according to Dusabe is the quality of being widely honored and acclaimed by the public after doing something.
Fame has been defined differently, Mosques Mcpheat a writer with Gontel Times says, fame is simply the number of people who have heard about you and if the same number learns about your existence then you are famous.
Fame refers to renowned reputation, or a position of public prominence. Someone can be famous for making a scientific breakthrough, being very skilled at a sport, or producing remarkable art say in music and film.
Figures like Juliana Kanyomozi, the Obsessions dance group, Radio and Weasel are known Ugandan musicians because of their musical talent.
Many people aspire to fame, because it suggests notable deeds most times. However, there are cases where people get to the lime light because of notorious acts.
Fame and celebrity have inter-changeably been used. The two are sisters, while being famous is having reputation in society, being a celebrity is when some one gets media attention and most frequently has extroverted personality.
According to David Williams a columnist in the Guardian journal, there is a fine line in the entertainment world between being famous and a celebrity.
Fame is usually acquired as a result of objective talent say in athletics, music, or film while celebrity seems to be increasingly more due to peculiarity in character.
Some women prefer exposing their bodies and this way they have become celebrities. Speak of Uganda’s pop star, Desire Luzinda, Janet Jackson and Madonna during her youth days.
As people continuously wonder about who and who is not a celebrity. Fame is real and many are yielding out of it.
