FRIDAY, AUGUST 8
Summer in Kigali: Live from South Africa
South Africa’s LeeMcKrazy and Scott Mapphuma are in Kigali this Friday, August 8, for a high-energy summer show at the Atelier du Vin parking lot. Expect a full day of music and good vibes, with sets from DJs Toxxyk, Marnaud, and Inno rounding out the lineup.
General admission is Rwf25,000, while VIP tickets go for Rwf50,000. Tables are available at Rwf500,000 for five guests, and Rwf1 million for a group of 10.
Cave Frequency at Cave Coffee
Also on Friday, Cave Coffee hosts its first Cave Frequency night with DJ Kan, DJ Ever, and DJ Riddim from Ruffcutz DJs spinning old-school soul, R&B, and dancehall. The venue opens at 5 p.m. with food and drink promotions, including 10% off beef and pork and a buy-five-get-six beer deal.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 9
Yewe Muntu: A Musical Play by Kenny Mirasano
Blending performance art and live music, "Yewe Muntu" returns to the Kigali stage following a March album release and tour.
The live show, headlined by Kenny Mirasano, brings together over 30 performers — musicians, dancers, and surprise guests — in a performance that pays homage to humanity and the healing power of art. Entry is Rwf15,000.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 10
Faith Festival: Edition One
Held at Caiman, Kibagabaga, the first edition of Faith Festival invites Kigali’s Christian community for a day of purpose-driven fun.
Expect live gospel performances, mocktails, traditional dance, games, and a creator’s corner. Entry is Rwf10,000, with proceeds supporting people in need. The lineup features Skid of 99Gang, Julian Boys Foundation, DJ Biggy, and CLA Worshippers, among others
Rwanda Auto Fest II at Kigali Universe
The second edition of Rwanda Auto Fest takes place at CHIC Mall’s parking lot from 2 p.m. A full afternoon of car culture awaits, including slalom competitions, drifting showcases, and performances by top artists and DJs. Regular entry is Rwf15,000, with tables for six going for Rwf200,000, consumables included.
Women BetPawa Playoffs
Rwanda Energy Group (REG) begins its title defense this Sunday, August 10, as the women’s basketball playoffs tip off at Petit Stade. REG faces The Hoops Rwanda, who finished fourth in the regular season, in Game 1 of their best-of-five semifinal series.
In the other semifinal, APR, who placed second, will take on Kepler in the opening game of their series.
Game 2 for both matchups is set for Wednesday, August 13. The winners of the semifinals will advance to a best-of-seven final. Tickets go for Rwf2,000 for regular entry, Rwf5,000 for VIP, and Rwf10,000 for front-row courtside access.
