Rayon Sports humbled newly promoted AS Muhanga a 4-0 win in a friendly held at Muhanga Stadium on Sunday, July 27.

The match was part of the two team’s continued preparations for the new season.

Adama Bayagoyo scored the opening goal in the 36th minute through spot kick as Rayon Sports head into halftime leading the match 1-0.

New signing Abdalaziz Harerimana doubled the Blues’ lead in the 62nd minute before Innocent Assana Nah Adbulrahman Rukundo scored late goals in the space of three minutes (87th and 89th minute) to secured the win.

Rayon will next face Gasogi United, Gorilla FC and Etincelles during annual "Rayon Week,” a an annual celebration filled with social impact and football activities.

Throughout the week, the club will engage in various community initiatives, including Umuganda (Community Work), support for vulnerable families, and a visit to a Genocide Memorial site.

The Blues will play Gasogi United on August 1 at Nyanza Stadium before taking on Gorilla FC on August 6 at Ngoma Stadium Etincelles FC on August 9 at Umuganda Stadium.

The week will conclude with the grand celebration of Rayon Day, featuring a high-profile friendly match against Tanzanian champions Yanga SC at Amahoro Stadium on August 15.
