Electrifying party for Turbo King

Last Friday, La Palisse, Nyandungu turned into another historical place. No, it wasn’t a beauty pageant, not even a music award’ it was the launch of Turbo King, Bralirwa’s new brand. The night was historic, and car loads of fans, musicians, senior government officials, were in attendance for a cause, to celebrate with Rwanda’s sole beverage and alcohol producer.

At 4 pm, the event was supposed to start. Amazingly, and unlike the common African adage on time keeping, most of the revelers had already started coming in, and by 8 pm, La the hall was packed to its capacity. And as people came, they were cordially ushered to their seats by gorgeous ladies.

Inside, the well lit hall with video cameras wired to screens ensuring revelers in all the corners can witness any major turn of event.

The interior setup was decorated in colours; chocolate and yellow, to associate the event with the brand colours of the Turbo King Beer. So creative was also the jungle setting.

Bamboo trees, glass, leaves and deem disco lights were decorated to create an alluring setting.

Sooner than later, Anita Munyaneza, the Communication Manager of Bralirwa introduced the MC’s of the night, Uncle Austin and Gingy, who made the event worthwhile.

Upcoming artists, Meddy and Tom Close got on stage to showcase their raw talent, as more people trickled in for the show.

Before long, the MC announced: "Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce on stage our guest performers all the way from Uganda—Radioooo and Weaseeeel!”

The ‘Potential’ singer immediately claimed the stage with their two queen dancers, clad in blue jeans, too short to cover their thighs.

There was plenty to keep folks entertained throughout the evening, as waiters and waitresses supplied people with drinks to quench their thirst.

Turbo King is a high quality strong brown beer with 6.5 percent alcoholic content, stamped with a black, red and yellow label exhibiting a powerful lion.
