RUBAVU will host the finals of the inaugural Guma Guma tennis tournament on Saturday.

The four-day event, which started on Wednesday at Cercle Sportif, attracted 32 amateur players from four clubs, Nyarutarama, APR, Amahoro Stadium and CSK.

Some of the players involved sports minister Joseph Habineza, Minispoc permanent secretary Jean Pierre Karabaranga, Bralirwa’s managing director Sven Piederiet and Banque Populaire’s Ben Kalkman among others.

Bralirwa stand out as the official sponsors after sinking Rwf4m in the event.

"Sponsoring the tournament is a new phase to embark on supporting sports in the country, while engaging our consumers and opinion leaders into the enjoyment of our drinks and sports,” the company’s managing director Piederiet said.

On Saturday, 16 players will tussle for the day’s big prize.
