Rwanda’s golf star Celestin Nsanzuwera secured an impressive second-place finish at the Sunshine Development Tour, East Africa Swing, which concluded on June 5 at Thika Greens Golf Resort in Nairobi, Kenya.

Competing against top players from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and South Africa, Nsanzuwera recovered from a shaky start, rising from 18th place to finish second overall.
"The tournament was tight. I started with some mistakes but I doubled my effort and moved from 18th position to second which was good considering I had a poor start," Nsanzuwera told Times Sport.

"I really faced very good opponents and I am elated that I finished second. I am aiming to win the next tournament which starts on Monday, June 9,” he added.
Nsanzuwera also won the 2025 Rwanda Open.
