TWO-time FIA Africa Rally Champion Muna Singh was left speechless after witnessing yesterday’s KCB Mountain Gorilla rally Super Special Stage at Gahanga.

The 2.40km stage gave rally fans a glimpse of what was to come over the next two days and Singh does not agree more.

In a brief interview with Times Sport, the Zambian driver said, "It was exciting. The guys are really fast but I’m particularly impressed with the Pirelli drivers.”

"It is the first time I have seen all the seven racing together and believe me, they have the talent. I think it is going to be a very close rally,” he added.

The Pirelli-World Rally Championship (WRC) drivers include Raaji Bharij (Kenya), Peter Horsey (Kenya), Alex Horsey (Kenya), Attwell Chase (Zimbabwe), Mohamed Essa (Zambia), Hans Navraj (Kenya) and Mathieu Adrianjafy (Madagascar).

The Pirelli- WRC star driver scheme is reserved for competitors below 27 years with the winner going for six WRC events in 2010.

Muna, who won the African crown in 2004 and 2005, finished third this year behind eventual winner Jamie Whyte from Zimbabwe and Uganda’s Emma Katto.
