It is one thing to talk the talk and another to walk the walk. We love to aspire doing great things, but achievement is not just down to doing the talk.

Talk is cheap, that is way God gave us one mouth and two ears – we should listen as twice as much as we talk.
There are individuals who can talk about anything under the heavens and above the earth. All one has to do is light the fire, and they will take it over and spread it all over the place.
They know everything, from astronomy to psychiatry, and in fact they are also authorities on rocket science which is not an entirely bad thing when you think about it.
The problem is that whenever you start up a sentence, they must finish it for you whether you like it or not. That might not be a problem as well.
Let’s say you are the type who is thinking big about your life and your ambitions. So naturally the easiest way to dream is to talk with conviction about a definite plan of action or a specific path to your desired dreams.
But instead you keep talking big and acting small.
You misunderstand the idea of living like a king because you aspire to be one for keeping up appearances.
You lie between your teeth about your overflowing bank account. You are superfluous about your abilities and you are quick to borrow a car, or money to buy a big car so you can keep up to the speed of your mouth, too much talk and little or no action.
There is the grand cheap talker who is just obsessed with every tiny little detail of other people’s life, what they are eating, who they are dating, where they were last night or over the weekend for no particular reason except ‘to know’ and to ‘spread the news’ henceforth to whoever is not interested in hearing.
They are the classic voyeur.
They can never get enough of other people. They just enjoy playing God. As Ross Perot says, Talk is cheap. Words are plentiful.
Deeds are precious. Although anybody who thinks talk is cheap should try getting some legal advice over a small trifle. Apparently, it might not be that cheap. There is nothing as difficult as trying not to talk, especially for us humans.
But think about some of those things you have heard during the years and have paid no particular attention to. For example, actions speak louder than words. And in fact if you do not have anything to say, don’t say it here! But again not all talk is cheap talk.
One Ben Johnson thought that to speak and to speak well are two things. A fool may talk, but a wise man speaks.
However, the true genius shudders at incompleteness, at least according to famous writer Edgar Allan Poe, and usually prefers silence to saying something which is not everything it should be.
But perhaps, the kindest word in the entire world is the unkind word, unsaid. Those are not my words but neither do I know the man, who thinketh that well.
If you can’t talk the talk and walk the walk, at least take a walk and try walking the talk!
