THE National Olympic Committee (RNOC) yesterday confirmed that Alphonsine Agahozo would be Rwanda’s representative in the swimming category of next year’s World Youth Olympics in Singapore.

The games will draw participants from all over the world below the age of 17. Other disciplines to be contested in will include football, boxing and Athletics.

The 12-year-old who usually competes for ‘Le daupin’ was selected after winning the national swimming competition which took place at Credo Hotel in Huye.

The event was also graced by Rwanda’s three-time Olympian Pamela Girimbabazi Pamela and Johnson Niyomugabo.

Meanwhile, Rwanda’s representatives in athletics and boxing will be confirmed this afternoon.
