BK Arena on Saturday, March 29, came alive with the debut of Tonight’s the Night, a trailblazing musical theater performance that captured the complexities of love, temptation, and commitment.
The show, met with an impressive turnout, told the story of a husband who, after a night of cocktails, was torn between his loving wife and a passionate affair with another woman.
The production, filled with electrifying performances, was more than just a show—it was an exploration of the choices we make and the consequences that follow.
Despite the initial allure of the side affair, the husband ultimately realized that his heart belonged to his wife, reminding us that true love is built on understanding and communication.
With a larger-than-expected crowd and a flawless presentation, Tonight’s the Night proved that Rwanda is ready for its musical theater revolution, and this performance was only the beginning.

According to Tasmia Baker (Tazz) and Lady, who played the fiery mistress in Tonight&039;s the Night, the experience has been amazing despite doubts about the concepts coming even though she was unsure of how the audience would perceive the performance, adding that she was thrilled that people enjoyed it.
She highlighted the hard work that went into rehearsals, which began in August, and expressed satisfaction with how everything turned out, but looking ahead, she desires to take a step back in future productions, focusing on mentoring younger talent in Rwanda, which she believes is filled with incredible potential.
"Most people didn't believe that this kind of idea would come to life, but we put a lot of work into this. Last year, we were rehearsing because we wanted this to be perfect, and I'm happy with the outcome. Rwanda has amazing talent, and I want to help get more people involved, especially the youth,” Baker said.
For Terrence Muhoza, who played the role of the husband in Tonight's the Night, the experience was both exciting and surprising.

Muhoza admitted that, like many others, he didn’t initially believe the concept would come to life in such a big way, adding that it was his first time doing something like this, and he found the experience to be a blast.
"I didn’t know it would be this big, you know? It was a big experience for me because it was my first time doing this, and it was a blast. Everybody's telling me that I was awesome, so I'm excited. We are going to do more and more and more. It was the first time, but we're going to do more," he stated.
For Sabrina Mwerere, who played the role of the wife in the musical theater, the experience was incredibly fulfilling even though it was her first time performing on a big stage and singing with a live band, something she had never done before.
As a Karaoke singer, the show was electrifying and exciting for her.
She expressed her eagerness for more shows in the future, seeing this as just the beginning of something even bigger.
"I feel happy, very happy, and I think I did amazing. It's my first time being on a big stage, singing with a band. It was an electrifying experience for me,” she said.
"The story itself is full of emotions—passion, love, and excitement—and I’m so excited for what’s next. This is just the beginning, and I want to thank everyone who supported us. We love them so much.”
