Country angrier than most

Ours is a country older than most

That lay at the naval of a continent at best

And sat at the epicenter of a colonial past

But stands at the helm of poignancy abreast.

--

She is among the rest unsettled by her past

Wrought by lust descending from the west

As she was raped by a novice at the worst

One really unworthy and unwise of a cast!

--

Amongst her peers, she suffers shame than most

From the pathetic legacy painted by the worst

And currently fights to regain her posture

After losing grace to a wrestler from the west.

--

Ours is a country angrier than most

She has no apologies as owed by the rest

When she mourns her offsprings laid to rest

And you can only help but not yelp at best.

--

Ours is a country aggrieved than most

Ready to lay wreath to sins of her part

As she has learnt hard lessons of the past

But games best if swords are drawn fast!

--

Yet-Ours is a country warmer than most

Visited by the suns and moons at the post

Straddling ridges and breezes from coasts

And her fortunes are coming in at a gallop!
