The Equity Market

Today the Rwanda OTC recorded no transactions.
Tuesday 1st September, The Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) had a total of 890,100 KCB shares traded.

These shares traded between 20.50 Kshs (Rwf153) and Kshs 21.75(Rwf163) to close at 21.25 Kshs (Rwf159); a 0.75 Ksh(Rwf 6) increase in the price from the previous closing.

The NSE all share indexes gained 0.15 points to close at 67.94. The volumes were however lower than that of the previous day. On Tuesday 7,562,600 shares were traded compared to 23,456,200 shares traded on Monday.

DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market:

On the bond market no transactions were recorded.  At the close of business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
