AMAVUBI striker Said Abedi Makasi has signed a one-year renewable contract with Moroccan Premier League club Difaa El Jadida.

The development was confirmed recently by FIFA Manager for FECOFA (Democratic Republic of Congo Football Association) Chris Benoit.

"About Makasi, all is ok. His contract ends in June 2010,” Benoit’s email to Times Sport read in part.

Makasi, who has been a key figure for Amavubi in the past, was overlooked during Rwanda’s 0-3 defeat against Egypt in Cairo.

According to transfermarkt.co.uk, his move is said to be in the range off £222.500(Rwf. 203,040,308 million).

On his return to the national team, Makasi has looked sharp and should provide that finishing touch that has eluded Tucak Branko’s side in the recent past.

Makasi and skipper Olivier Karekezi still stand out as Amavubi’s joint top scorers in the on-going 2010 World/ Africa Nations Cup qualifiers after netting three goals a piece.
