Irembo has launched IremboApp, a mobile super app designed to simplify access to essential services in Rwanda, on Wednesday, March 19.
The app debuts with the most popular government services, paving the way for a comprehensive digital lifestyle platform.
A unified digital experience
People use multiple apps to manage essential services, leading to a fragmented and inefficient digital experience. This results in cluttered devices, security risks, and difficulties in managing multiple accounts and passwords.

IremboApp seeks to address these challenges by integrating essential services into a single, secure platform. By eliminating the need to switch between multiple apps, it simplifies access, saves time, and enhances data security, offering users a seamless and efficient digital experience.
Focus on popular govt services
The first version of the app, available in Kinyarwanda, English, and French, focuses on high-demand government services that impact millions of people.
Citizens can apply for birth, celibacy, and marriage certificates and access them in the app’s safe box, protected by the phone’s PIN, fingerprint, or Face ID. Mutuelle payments are also simplified, allowing users to check and pay for community-based health insurance in just a few taps.
For traffic fines, many people only realise they’ve been fined when checking manually or being stopped by the police. With the app, users receive in-app notifications when a fine is issued and can pay instantly to avoid late penalties.
Users can save their MTN MoMo or Airtel Money number in the app, making payments seamless without repeatedly entering their details. They can also save their car details to ensure they never miss a traffic fine notification again.

Israel Bimpe, CEO of Irembo said, "IremboApp is a vision for a simplified, personalised, and localised digital future for Rwanda’s consumers. We’re starting with the most popular government services because they impact everyone’s life. But this is just the beginning.
"We aim to create a comprehensive super app that delivers breakthrough convenience and safety in consumers’ digital lives by putting essential services they need right in the palm of their hands.”
Getting started with IremboApp
The app is available now on Google Play and the App Store.
After downloading the app, getting started is quick and easy.
Users can log in with their Irembo account or create one using their phone number and National ID. Adding car details, such as the license plate and TIN, allows them to receive real-time traffic fine notifications and pay with just one tap.
The app also provides easy access to certificates, enabling users to securely retrieve existing documents or apply for new ones in just a few taps.
