The Men's African Clubs Championship returns to the continent, featuring 32 confirmed clubs with Rwanda having three representatives in Kepler VC, Rwanda Energy Group (REG), and APR VC.
The tournament will take place in Misurata, Libya, from April 17-30.
In 2022, Gisagara VC made history as the first Rwandan team to win the third position at the tournament, defeating Port Douala of Cameroon in four sets (3-1).
This year, Kepler VC, an emerging club since their debut in the Rwandan volleyball league in January 2024, will compete in the African Volleyball Clubs Championship for the first time under coach Fidele Nyirimana, who won bronze with Gisagara.
Meanwhile, REG last participated in the tournament in 2023 as the champions of Rwanda and went on to finish in 9th position. APR VC will also be participating in the championship for the fifth consecutive year.

The 2024 defending champions, Al Ahly Sporting Club from Egypt, are among the confirmed clubs for the 2025 championship. Al Ahly holds the record as the highest decorated club in the tournament with 16 trophies, followed by Club Sportif Sfaxien VC with six trophies, though they won’t participate this year.
Other confirmed clubs include Le Club WAT Tlemcen (Algeria), Mouloudia Sportive de Bou Salem (Tunisia), Zamalek Sporting Club (Egypt), AS Finances (Benin), Kenya Ports Authority (Kenya), General Service Unit (Kenya), Kenya Prisons (Kenya), Volley Club Emana (Côte d'Ivoire), Volleyball Club Génie République (Côte d'Ivoire), Volley Club Egypt (Egypt), Swelth Sports Club (Liberia).
Other participants expected at the championship are Étoile Sportive Du Sahel (Tunisia), Espérance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia), Port Autonome De Douala Volleyball (Cameroon), Lion Team Volleyball (Cameroon), Cameroon Sport Volleyball, Zamalek Volleyball, Rukinzo Volleyball Club (Burundi), Elwak Wings Volleyball Club (Ghana), Al Masar Sports Club, Muger Cement Factory (Ethiopia), Wolaita Dicha Sports Club, University of Zimbabwe Wolves, Plath Union Sport, Nemo Stars Volleyball Club, and Nairobi Water Volleyball Club.
