Amagaju’s new coach Hamis Sogonya is determined to erase any memories of last season’s poor run that almost had Amagaju relegated by steering the club to a good finish in this season.

The Southern Province club survived relegation on the last day of the league campaign after defeating Kibuye 1-0, a result which relegated the later.

Sogonya has managed clubs like Kiyovu, Police and Musanze, and after signing a two year deal with the club this week, he told Times Sport that his priority is to bring in quality players that will lead the club to finish in the top half of the table.

"We had a poor run last season which almost had the club relegated and that is something that will have change this season.

"My first priority is to sign some quality players, who will lead the club to a respectable finish on the table.

I need five good quality players for the start,” Sogonya said.
