The Equity Market Last week the Rwanda OTC market recorded no transactions. During the same week on the Nairobi Stock Exchange, the KCB shares traded within the range of Kshs 20.00 (Rwf149) and Kshs21.50 (Rwf160).

The Equity Market

Last week the Rwanda OTC market recorded no transactions. During the same week on the Nairobi Stock Exchange, the KCB shares traded within the range of Kshs 20.00 (Rwf149) and Kshs21.50 (Rwf160). 

On Thursday KCB shares closed at Kshs20.25 (Rwf151) as a total of 14,524,600 shares were traded compared to 16,091,500 shares that were traded the previous day.

The NSE All share index closed at 67.53 on Thursday, its lowest closing in two weeks.  It had closed at 69.16 last week and 71.21 the week before. 

DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market:

On the bond market no transactions were recorded. 

At the close of business, Rwf2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf150 million on offer at Rwf100.50.
