Rayon Sports head coach, Francis Haringingo, has vowed to revenge in the derby against his former employers, Kiyovu Sports, on Friday, November 11.

Kiyovu beat The Blues 2-1 in the 'Made-in-Rwanda' Cup final on October 9.

Rayon are winless in their last seven meetings in all competitions against Kiyovu, having drawn two and suffered five defeats.

The Burundian tactician said that his team is ready for the derby and encouraged Rayon fans to attend the game in a large number "without fear.”

It’s the second time in a week, the Rayon coach repeats these words since the last league game against Sunrise on November 4.

"We are ready to face Kiyovu. It’s a great team and these matches are always difficult but our team is ready.”

Asked if he doesn’t feel the pressure when facing his former club, the coach said that pressure is normal when playing a game.

He said: "It is not so long ago when I was there (at Kiyovu), so their players know how I prepare for the big games. But I also know who I can attack or defend. So, I’ll have to add something but it’ll be a nice football game.”

The former Mukura manager said that he doesn’t expect a warm welcome from Kiyovu fans after switching to their all-time rival Rayon Sports.

"I had a great season there last year and I think the fans made a great contribution to my success. But I don’t expect much from them tomorrow because I’m now against their desires," he said.

"It will be a revenge for me for the match they beat us in the Made-in-Rwanda final.”

Players who were injured like Abdul Rwatubyaye, Eric Mbirizi and Rapfael Osalue are not training with others. Haringingo acknolwedged that they are all unlikely to feature in Friday's derby.

Blaise Nishimwe and Andre Onana are among those expected to receive a medical green light before Friday.

Another player who did not train on Tuesday was goalkeeper Adolphe Hakizimana who had an eye problem during Monday's training after a collision with teammate Musa Esenu.

Rayon Sports leads the table with 18 points in six games. Kiyovu Sports is second with 17 points in eight games.
