Jean Benoit Umuhire is the Headmaster of Groupe Scolarie Sainte Famille. He is definitely a busy ma but he spared a few minutes to share with the SundayMag what his typical day is like:

I wake-up at 5a.m, pray and get on for a physical exercise for about 45 minutes. I bathe, have breakfast and dress-up for work.

At about 6:20a.m, I board a taxi from Nyamirambo to Sainte Famille.

By 7a.m, I must be at school. I ensure that the compound is kept clean and monitor the arrival time for both teachers and students.

I then attend to the general assembly where all students get a lecturer on cleanliness, discipline, time management and other related issues.

By 8a.m, I must be in office; I attend to parents and other people with different demands for service.

I make sure that before I go for lunch at mid-day, I have done as per the day’s programme.

I continue working until 6:30p.m. I usually get home at 8p.m, have supper at 9p.m and get to bed at 11:30p.m.
