Rwanda U20 national handball team has qualified for the intercontinental phase of the 2024/2025 IHF Trophy men's youth and junior tournament which will take place in Pakistan and Kosovo from March 12-16.
The African champions are one of six participating nations representing their continents. The other countries include Bulgaria (Europe), New Caledonia (Oceania), Nicaragua (North America), the USA and Uzbekistan (Asia).

Rwanda secured its spot as Africa's representative after a successful run in the continental qualifiers. They first triumphed at the 2024 IHF African Zone 5 Championship, defeating Uganda 26-25 in a thrilling final on May 17.
The team then went undefeated at the IHF Africa Championship, winning all four of their matches. They capped off their impressive performance with a 34-25 victory over Reunion Island in the final, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on November 6, 2024.
